Sa présentation
Our organization is non-governmental and non-profit-making. It is a Community Center, which works for the local community.
In the social education area we have a Kindergarden (for babies and children from 3 months up to 5 years old), a Free Time Activities Center (for the children from 6 years up to 14 years old), an Itinerant Ludoteca that gives support in some rural primary schools in the municipality of Silves.
In the social community area we hold cultural events in the cultural area for the community, like theatre week. We also have sports activities, like ballroom dancing, ballet, handball, BTT – mountain cycling events, gymnastic and aerobics, these kinds of activities have target group children, young people and the adults.
We also have a new space for a holiday camp to start activities like exchanges.
At the moment we have some young voluntary workers for the association who are involved in the social life of the association. We are creating a space for youth.
Also, we are involved in the social development of the municipality, like the Social Program Partnership, and in the Commission for protection of the Children and youth of Silves.
We are starting to work on a new project, the “Youth Space”. This is a project like an info point, which will have some information and activities for young people and we also will start now to work with this youth program.
The young volunteers will help to promote the development of the activities of the holiday camp and the sport activities. With their help the activities will benefit from different knowledge, new ideas and new dynamics. In this way the activities will improve and get better.
All the activities of our organization are situated in the same building.
